Back In School!

Well here we are again, back at MAHS after a long break. During the break there was  a lot of fun. We had a film class at UCLA. It was so much fun, especially the Film Festival at the end. It was a great class and I learned many new interesting things from Mr. Carlson, Mr. Garcia, Mr. Miller, and Ms. Day. Now here at MAHS  is still the same , bored in some of mh classes but at the same time I have many things to do, especially prepare my self  for the SAT.That is  all for now. =)

R.I.P. Hero!

Falling through dreadful conflaguration, former hero of his nation, the sudden stop of falling, his savior has heard the calling, Soaring towards the Heavens, As his death came at the strike of eleven, flying high through the sky he asks not why he has died, This love for the hero will live on, It growsstronger with each moment he’s gone, To have lived and died a hero is great Now he no longer awaits his fate, So they look up towards the sky, they give their last goodbyes, Though his life has reached sad zero, He forever is their mighty hero…

Poetry! Fo Sho!

The sweet tendernous of your lips, So blinding and as a moonlights eclipse, Elegant is the sight of your hair as the wind blows, Your are more beautiful than the worlds greatest rose, When I weep then stare into your eyes my tears vanish and dry, Your voice as wonderful as a sirens song, In your heart is somewhere I must belong, Pain for you I’ll gladly endure, My love for you grows forever more, No angel will ever stop this love for you, Your pressence enlightens me even out of the deepest blue, When you find your one and only I’ll sustain broken aand lonely As long as you are blissful My life will never become dull…

Reading…

leave a comment »

It’s been 2 weeks of school since we’ve (B-track) been back to school. And I already read a book called ‘More Letters To Rollins’, it’s a good book (well if you can call a bunch of letters put together a book). But now I’m reading a book called ‘Small Island’, so far I’ve gone through the first chapter and I really like it. Before I got this book though I was reading one call ‘A Clockwork Orange’. It was very difficult to read because of the authors very “oddly unique” sense of writting, not to mention he pretty much made his own dictionary for the book, so I put it away for now. I also borrowed two other books from Mr. Garcia and Mr. Carlson, ‘Misery’ and ‘The Messiah of Morris Avenue’. I was about to get another book, ‘Into the Wild’, but I think three books is enough for now (hahaha). I really want to get through at least one of these books by the end of the semester. So I think instead of watching ‘iCarly’ or ‘Hannah Montana’ (hehe) I’ll read a book that I have. It be cool if I can find a bunch more books that catch my eyes like these three or like the Rollins book too.

Back in School!

with one comment

Finally! We are back in school, man it’s been boring just being in class for 2 hours a day. I am actually glad we came back, haha I know I’m probably the only person dumb enough to keep blogging but it is like whatevers. Well same ol’ classes, and my first assignment with Gracia is writing a poem. Poetry is awesome, and I like writing some here and there but unfortunately I can not seem to complete let alone start this poem. Mainly because it is not my style of writing, I usually write about fantasy or this one certain person. The poem has to be about someone we admire, I chose Dave Mustaine(Megadeth) and I am thinking of using the rythm of one of Megadeths songs and replace the lyrics with my poem.

Chemistry! =D oh dude that class is always awesome, Mr. Campos makes it so easy and real simple to follow. We already had some assignments and I turned them in on time, yea I know it is hard to believe right.(hahaha)

Computer class with Navarez…. no complaints other then the fact that it gets boring after about half an hour into class.

Spanish… well I am about to get kicked out of there because the teacher(Ms. Ascencio)is picking the students with the least working potential to kick out of class. Which I think is stupid because 1: I did 7/8 assignments she gave us the first 2 days, and 2: why would you kick out a student who needs help on doing the work and needs the motivation for doing the work. If all teachers were like that then there would probably be a bigger dropout record here at Manual and/or other schools. Well if I get kicked out then screw it I’ll just change my class without a complaint because I can barely stand that class as it is.

The Most important things to always have in mind

leave a comment »

Many times people just thing that everything in the world is just money or other things such as expensive cars, big houses, and have big power in society. But in this few days I learned  that not everything in life is power or money. My family always thought me that the most important  in life is know who you are and what do you want to be. I know many students are thinking that why this girl is writing this? But yesterday, I went to mass with my friends and the father talked about  how important is family and to have in mind  where you come from. In that time I started to think about my personality and I realized that I was not that good as I though  because the most important to  me was just focusing on school, getting  good grades and I  never though  how important my family, friends, and my values were until now. Since then I decided to take time for my family and friends but most important  to be more honest with myself . I changed in a very big significant way. Thank God I noticed how wrong my view of life was.  Today i can say that  I will not lose my family and my friend. I think that to success in having a good relationship with the people you  care is  to know who you are and never for get  your values.

where are our values???

It’s scary to see our youth in these days. what would our grandparents say if they could or when they see how teeagers behave now. The question is what is causing all these crazy stuff aren’t our parents teaching us well? now they want the best for us but the problem is that now we have so many things like internet cellphones, and tv. honestly these factors have to do with what we are now. the worst is that our parents dont time to be after us all the time and we spend most of our time by ourselves so is on us to se decide what we do and to make a better person of ourselves.

Crisis in education

leave a comment »

The news reported that the U.S. is recovering from the economic crisis that the country has been facing since 2007. now there is another crisis and this is in education, since that many student are dropping out of college because they don’t have money to afford  to pay. A professor said that these students drop out too go to work so they can come back with some money to  pay their classes but these possibilities are not always what happen she said that they weren’t sure whether they would come back or not but if there was something that they were very sure was that a big amount of their students would be gone and to make this situation worse they said that for next year there would be increases.
