The Most important things to always have in mind

leave a comment »

Many times people just thing that everything in the world is just money or other things such as expensive cars, big houses, and have big power in society. But in this few days I learned  that not everything in life is power or money. My family always thought me that the most important  in life is know who you are and what do you want to be. I know many students are thinking that why this girl is writing this? But yesterday, I went to mass with my friends and the father talked about  how important is family and to have in mind  where you come from. In that time I started to think about my personality and I realized that I was not that good as I though  because the most important to  me was just focusing on school, getting  good grades and I  never though  how important my family, friends, and my values were until now. Since then I decided to take time for my family and friends but most important  to be more honest with myself . I changed in a very big significant way. Thank God I noticed how wrong my view of life was.  Today i can say that  I will not lose my family and my friend. I think that to success in having a good relationship with the people you  care is  to know who you are and never for get  your values.

The CAHSEE

with one comment

This test nt eeds to be passed in order for us to graduate, and if we don’t we could not graduate. I also don’t consider it fair that students that just needed one point to pass had to retake the test.  For example my friend Viviana, she only needed one point to pass the English section, so this year she has to retake it. Whoever made that rule or whatever it is that you HAVE  to have 350 points to pass is really messed up. Because of that alot of students don’t graduate or need to retake it.

MAHS!!!!

with 2 comments

Manual Arts High School is beautiful and there are  great students here but I don’t like the security and police. I and my friends feel we should have more freedom. We should be free to do things. Like for example walk around on campus without having the security telling us something like we have done something wrong. And the ppolice should not give tickets for being late to school. We  MAHS looks nice with all the drawings on the walls. I also like  how the senior squad got fixed. It is now more green and it looks do nice that anyone would like to walk around and or hangout  .in our senior squad.

The Moon!!

with 3 comments

What a surprise!! The misile hit the moon but after that everything is back to normal. Why would the moon have to do anything with the problems we have here on Earth. We humans should pay more attention and help each other out instead of hitting the innocent moon. I am quiet concern about the misile hitting the moon. If the misile really made a hole on the moon, would it affect us in any way? Hopefully not because we need the moon.Furthermore, if I’m not mistaken, USA is the first country to send a misile on the Moon. !!Go Figure!! Well, while we live, we should enjoy the bright unique Moon at night.

Around the NFL

leave a comment »

Well like many say “One team Celebrates while the other laments it.” Its was a long day for the Oakland Raiders. They sadly lost by team that would play with no mercy, the Giants. The Giants beat the Raiders 44-7. Who woulded thought that the bengals would ever beat a team like the “Ravens”. The NFL gives surprises every week becasue anything can happen. Ultimately, what a game for the Philadelphia Eagles. While penalties is still a problem the win was very exciting. The Buccaneers just didnt have a answer and try to figure out the Eagles offense. While they stop the product of Cal”Desean Jackson” the bucs forgot about the Product of Mizzouri “Jeremy Maclin”. What a day for the Eagles. The scoreboard was favored to the Eagles by a total of a 33-14 win. Hopefully, the Eagles will finish the Season strong and aim for that ultimate goal the “Superbowl”.

Good Memories!!

with one comment

In this few days, I had the most wonderful esperiences with a group that I met in this class, Journalism. Everything began when Mr Carlson told the class to make a group to could work in class. I  was very desagree at the first time becasue every time that I work with a classmate I end up fighting, or not doing my work how I wanted  to do it. However, this time was different. All my classmates are very cool and good students and the msot  important  of all is that  they like to balance their time. They like to have fun but at the same time study hard to keep their grades. We met many different people sucha as  the principle of my high school and now he is a good friend of all of us. Finally, I am jsut very thankful with Mr Carlson because of him I had this great experience in high school. They are very good friends nowl, They are in the good and bad momments in my life, sipporting me in all my goals that I have set for my life. I really recomed this kind of expiriences. You will love it.

Thank You Mr Carlson for be part of this group and share all of those great mommnets with us!:)

Journalist Interview: Manual Arts High

with one comment

Manual Arts High School is your typical inner city public school and by now, far since the school’s establishment in 1910, you wouldn’t expect any problems concerning the way the school’s adminstrative staff sorts things out. The fact of the matter is that the school does face this sort of problem and any student whom it concerns to, that is currently attending the school can easily spot this issue out off the back. Students such as myself, Ana Rodriguez, and many of the current seniors, that is. The scary part about the whole situation is that finding out that this sort of problem exists in our school would be the least of anyone’s worries if they were told that they would win a prize if they were to find out what that problem was.

I had a chance to interview my fellow classmate Ana Rodriguez that I’ve previously mentioned and I asked her a couple a questions concerning the matter at hand. As I was interviewing her, I noticed the facial expression her face had shown when I asked about the matter as a result of familiarity with the matter through past experiences. I went on interviewing her with an inquisitive attitude towards the subject and when I got to asking her a particular question that, in fact, had me in a state of premonition, she answered my question with confidence as if though every single word that she spoke were 100% accurate. The words she spoke did not quite surprise me but, instead, her words did indeed draw my attention more towards the interview where the amount of interest I had towards interviewing her got to the point where almost nothing could distract me from listening on to what she was saying. She said, “what bothers me most is the fact that the school’s staff doesn’t come through with satisfying student’s needs. In fact, they do not even listen to or care about our needs as students”. The thing that captivated me about what she said was that what she was saying has been experienced by myself first hand and it angered me to hear this from someone else because it allowed me to ensure myself that my personal experiences with this issue weren’t just mere coincidences but, instead, a reality.

Journalism class

with 2 comments

Well , today I want to talk about how I am having fun with the journalism class. Yes ! I know , many will ask themselves why I am saying this, but believe me I have my reasons.

First of all, in this class I belong to a group that it is pretty cool. I have talked to more people that I did not know very well but now we are friends. I hope this group keeps going for the rest of the year. Really we are having fun. In the first interview, we discovered that we can work together and that there are people outside that are not bad at all. For example, we talked to the Principal and he has been a good friend since that day. Mr. Lupejkis is a pretty good singer and of course he likes to talk to students. We also talked to Carlos Valle, Ms. Carrillo, Cruz (TA) and other people. But the best part of all of this is that we are having fun outside school too.

I like this group! Thanks to this class I believe all of us are having fun!

So Thanks Mr. Carlson.!

The Vikings!!!!!

leave a comment »

Man the game yesturday was really exiting.  The former packer brett farve faced his own team that went through many wins and loses during his 13 years at green bay. Honestly, whether brett farve plays for another team he will always  remain a packer. The game was so electrifying because the vikings would score and then the packers. It was the most watched game,a source said. Brett Farve must have had many butterflies in his stomach watching his team go after him. Ultimately, the vikings won and brett was by far the most happiest player to beat his former team. Hopefully the vikings will end up with a trophy in thier hands by the end of the season. !!!Go Vikings!!! 4-0

Be Optimistic and Never Give Up!!

with one comment

Sometimes students do not want to follow their dreams to be success in life.  Sometimes adolescent do not understand or not look that life is not essay to get what they want, but that is not a reason to give up. In my own experience I almost give up to follow my dreams, which are to continue with my education to one day could  become a Doctor. I remember that many people told me that I am not prepared enough to go to the University, but I know I can do it. I know I can speak well english and that I also  have bad grammar.I know that  I have all of this desavanages, but come on! If life would be eassy. I think we would never grow.I know that  if  I want something  I have to fight for it un until I can get it and I know that I will  walk through the stage and I will get my high school diploma. Maybe many students will think why this girls is writing this but I am writing this short blog because I know many senior  do not want to try  to apply for college because they think they have bad grades or because they do not have paper, but I know  that there is always a do to get where you want to go. I just want let know every single senior that we can do it. One of my dreams is all my friends and all the senior graduate this year. Finally, I just want to say to all senior that we can do it . Nothing is easy but not impossible .
